Peanut Butter
Natural peanut butter works well, but be sure to stir it first if the oil has separated. Most importantly, always check the label to make sure your peanut butter does not contain xylitol (sometimes listed as birch sugar), as it is extremely toxic to dogs.
Water
Water helps thin the mixture so it’s easier to pour into your molds. If your peanut butter is especially thick, you can add a splash more until everything mixes smoothly.
Directions
In a medium bowl, add the applesauce, peanut butter, and water.
Mix until well combined.
Spoon or pour into silicone molds. I like these paw and bone-shaped molds for smaller treats, and these paw shaped molds for larger treats.
Place in the freezer and let sit for at least 4 hours or until frozen completely.
Once frozen, remove from molds and store in an airtight container in the freezer for up to 4 months.
